Sonrise Service at Trinity UMC

Yes, you read the title right.  This year we are having a Sonrise Service here at Trinity.  (No, there is not a spelling error.)  We are celebrating the arising of Christ Jesus, God’s only Son from the grave of death, not just the sun which rises every morning and we give God the thanks for it.

 

We will start our service out at the crosses, weather permitting.  When we come into the gathering area each person who is able will be given an item to take into the sanctuary.  At the end of the Good Friday service we will take all the paraments and other removable items out of the church sanctuary.  When we arrive on Sunday morning the tomb will be empty (sanctuary) and we will be praising God.

 

Sonrise Service will be a regular worship service with communion, followed by a continental breakfast provided by the men of the church. I am looking forward to our Easter celebration.
