Canoeing for Kids

Canoeing for Kids began in 1993 when founder Jay Alley and a team of paddlers traveled 2,000 miles from New York to New Orleans with a dream of creating an organization to provide free paddling for underprivileged kids." Canoeing for Kids' primary function is to provide free canoeing, kayaking, rafting, camping and fishing trips for underprivileged children. More than Twelve Thousand Kids have benefited from the experience of being "on the water" and "in the woods" over the past eleven years. Teamwork, self-reliance, sense of accomplishment, as well as awareness and conservation of nature is achieved while the kids simply have fun . Canoeing for Kids is a 501 (C)(3) charity funded privately by businesses, grants and individuals. We participate at Trinity thru our volunteers  at the site and on canoe trips as well as financially.  It is a fun and exciting ministry to kids and adults.
