"Get All Excited and Tell Everybody! He Is Risen"

Hello my beloved friends and church family! As you well know we just celebrated another Easter Sunday morning and part of me says, "I'm glad Holy Week is over!," while my heart of hearts says, "I hope it never ends!" Without a doubt those of you, who, like myself, made it to all or most of the Holy Week services, are somewhat fatigued, even though they were all inspiring. But be that as it may, none of us want that inspiration to expire anytime soon or at all. So, what can we do to keep that joy alive?

To be sure there are several ways that will work. First and foremost, stay in the WORD. (Read the story of Jesus' death and resurrection regularly.) Secondly, pray and ask the Lord to bring it to your heart and mind daily. Thirdly, listen to Easter music often. And a fourth way to keep that joy alive is to share it with as many as possible! (Telling another, be they a co-worker, friend, neighbor or a total stranger, is one of the most effective ways that I know to maintain our focus on the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And this can be done in a multitude of settings: in our church, home, workplace or wherever we may be.

Yes, doing all these things will help us keep our focus on the Cross, Empty Tomb, and most importantly, the Risen Savior. But be that as it may, to help others and ourselves to do so, we must share this life-changing story with as many as possible, just as did Edith Burns, who was known for going around asking everybody, "Do you know the story of Easter?" What would happen if we followed her example? Chances are, we would grow closer to God and so would those we shared with! So, get all excited and tell everybody that Jesus Christ is risen. For He has risen indeed!

With Love, From Jesus,

Pastor David
